When making a monster NPC, how do I add custom special abilities, or even borrow special abilities from another monster? Is there an easy way to do this or do I use the editor?
 
You could create a template in the editor or you use the editor to make a new monster.

You could also use the Bestiary Monster creature to make a new monster with the exact abilities you want. The Monster Creature is just point and click to make your new monster and tests it against the base CR stats to see if where new monster falls. I have seen allot of 3PP's are even doing this instead of using the editor and just saving it as a .por file then.
