Importing a stock hero. Trying to load up a monster to modify. Looking at the list HL tells me on most of the monster Missing Source. I own all the bestiarys for HL.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or an error when the program updated to 10.13.

Any ideas or should I just reinstall HL?

Which portfolio were you trying to import?

If you find missing source errors, glance through the validation errors for that character once it's imported - if you can live with all the error messages (if they're errors about a skill point here or there, or not all the languages selected), then ignore that message and keep going.
 
I'm trying to import just stock monster from the bestiary. From the looks of it 99% of the monsters across all the bestiary's have this problem(at least for me).

Now the monsters do load correctly, but it is annoying getting these errors.
 
Can you give more info so that we can try to narrow it down?

Specific monsters you've tried?
What 3rd party sources you have?
Do you have any userfiles of your own?
What OS you are running the software on?
What sources you have?


One note to Mathias - when I imported a couple of examples to try, I didn't get the error, but looking through they both had the Familiar Folio selected as a source, so that might be an issue?
 
Ok more information. It does not matter which monster I try to import. If the monster listed has missing source I get the error. I own Bestiary 1-4 no third party sources.

I do have 5 of my own user files but removing them had no effect on importing a stock hero.

Running on Windows 7 Pro x64.

Source I have are Core, APG, Bestiary 1-4, UC, UM and Mythic.
 
Did you install a new version and not re-activate your license? If you're in demo mode, your purchases of the Bestiary packages won't be recognized, I think.
 
Viking698, I'd like to request that next time you come across a bug, would you please report it through our bug tracking system using the links in this stickied thread: http://forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=24976

Having everything reported in a single place makes it easier for us to track what has been reported, and make sure we don't miss something in a thread.

The issue Portillis and AndrewD2 described would cause the symptoms you're seeing on a copy of HL with the packges you own.

(That sort of thing happens when we open a stock monster to fix an error on it, but forget to re-do a setting called "prepare portfolio for distribution" in order to remove all the books that were added since we last worked on that portfolio).

I'll add to our to-do list that we need to re-do that on all our portfolios before the release.

We good to know it is a bug, if I had known that I would have reported it Mathias. Just thought it was a error on my system.
