Minion Problem

Unless I misread the book again, , the minion feat should allow you to have as many minions as you want and can pay for. However, the feat stopped taking Extra Minions after 2 (which translated into 5 minions). Also, when trying to build a minion, limits were put on attack powers and bonuses as well as skill points. This minion is for an NPC, so I thought there would be no limits. Plus, I was putting in the Ninja from the game book and the program wouldn't let me. So, am I missing something or is this something to be fixed on the next upgrade?

That's allowed by the rules, but Hero Lab stops at 5 minions for
architectural reasons. (That, and I thought "There's no way anyone will
want more than 5 minions!" ... how wrong I was ;)

If you want more minions, you can add them as separate heroes from the
Portfolio menu.

You're right, there should be no limits. I'll fix this in the next
version - thanks!

Just in case anyone else wanted an obscene number of minions, , there's a way I found. If you go into the Editor and simply make a copy of the Minions feat, take off the 'Unique' feature, and rename it something like 'Minions 2', you can just keep adding the feat and maxing the sucker out. This would also allow you to have minions of different types. I just tested it out and had 15 minions going. Happy to break the bank again.

 Sorry, turns out my math was off. While this method CAN give you unlimited minions in HL, it costs differently than it should. For instance, 5 minions costs at least 3 points (1 for minions and two to extra minions). Now, according to the rule book, 10 minions should cost at least 4 points (another point in extra minions). However, using the method I described above, the 10 minions will cost 6 points (3 for the first set and 3 for the second set). Possibly your GM will allow you to fudge these numbers. If not go with what Colen said above. Sorry for the false sense of hope.
