Merging Inventories?

Is there an option to merge two inventories of the same game? If
not, is it possible to merge the inventories manually, by copying and
pasting?

This is kind of an off-topic question. Say somebody holds an old
Magic card with no expansion symbol in front of you. How can you
tell if it's from Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, or Revised? I assume 4th
and 5th edition cards can be identified by their copyright dates.

Thanks in advance!

You can merge two inventories as follows....

1. Load the game system folder with the first inventory into CV.
2. Save the complete inventory out to an XML file (via the Save Inventory
XML option on the File menu).
3. Load the game system folder with the second inventory into CV.
4. Load the inventoyr XML file for the first inventory into CV (via the
Load Inventory XML option). When you do this, be sure to verify the following:
a. Make sure the "Reset Inventory..." checkbox is UNchecked (at the bottom).
b. If the loaded file contains cards that also have inventory numbers in
second set, be sure the CHECK the box next to "Increment Current Inventory...".

As a precaution, you might also want to save a backup of the second
inventory before doing this. Simply use the Save Inventory XML option,
saving the second inventory to a different file from the first one.

Hope this helps,
Rob
