M&M 2nd ed. Merge multiple portfolios

I didnt realize that you can group a bunch of characters in a portfolio right away, is there a way to merge multiple portfolios?

The easiest way to do it in-program is to use Import Hero from Portfolio to import them into a portfolio. If you want to be more clever about it, the portfolio (and stock files) are ZIP files and all of the data is XML files.
 
ok, thanks, next question. I just bought the Ultimate Power package for MM2E and characters I made before i installed it can't have powers from it added to thier portfolio.

Works fine if i make new characters. What did I do wrong?
