Okay, here's fixes for the MW CMG files.

1. The LEs need to be added

2. The new set, Fire for Effect needs to be added.

Well, I believe that's it...

Are there plans to include LE figures in the next Mechwarrior data
file update? Is Fire For Effect going to be added soon?

We have the Fire For Effect data now, a team of trained gnomes is turning
it into Card Vault datafiles as we speak. The LE data is a bit more
complicated; WizKids is not giving anyone the data until they publish it on
their web site. So, even though they may have given out a bunch of LEs, we
don't have the data for them. Does anyone know if the LE data is up on any
web sites? I've checked mwrealms, but it doesn't appear to have it...

Thanks,

Yes it does, its just in html form under the "units" link. There's not THAT many of them, you could type them in yourself.

Crivvens, you're right. We even have all the data lying around in our
Suspicious Pile of Mechwarrior Data. OK, we'll include them in the Fire for
Effect update, you lucky people. Fire for Effect LEs may, however, take a
little longer...

Thanks,

Some of those should even be at the realms by now...

Okay, I got all the new files, first: MechWarrior:

The name of Dark Age model Janella Lakehead [#139] needs to be changed to Janella Lakewood.

Rarity "promo" needs to be changed to "LE#" where # is the numeric rarity level.

Models with quotation marks at beginning of name sort first alphabetically. If its possible to have it ignore the quotation mark when sorting alphabetically, that would be very helpful.

ok.

We don't have a record of the rarity for those models - the WizKids web
site and mwrealms only specify them as 'LE'. Is there anywhere we can find
the specific rarities?

You can do this by checking "Use Library Sort for Model Names" under the
settings menu; unfortunately, this makes the model ranks sort out of order
(elite will come before green and veteran). That's the best we can do right
now; we're trying to work out some way around this for a future version of
Card Vault.

For the LE rarity levels, if WizKids didn't give it to you, I don't know where to get it. You could just put LE for the time being and specifically ask WK about it.

Uh, fellas....

I downloaded the Mechwarrior files and discovered something
rather amusing when I was using the inventory tools.

There is a sorting group by the name of "YOU SUCK". I take it this
wasn't supposed to be in there?

Thanks,
M.

Colen did the latest update to the MW files. It's possible he added that
for testing and then forgot to delete. It's also possible that it's buried
somewhere in the data we got from WizKids - which we run through a
converter to generate the data files. Either way, it needs to be fixed.
I'll make sure Colen knows when he gets back in the office on Monday.

Sorry,
Rob

eek! That was me testing to see if something worked, apparently I did it
*before* I released the files and not *after*. I knew there was a reason I
stopped putting stuff like this in code...

sorry all :( I shall now go and lock myself in the broom cupboard until I
learn to behave.
