May release status report

We've looked at what still needs to be finished before our May update is released, and we're not going to finish today (5/29/13). The release should happen sometime later this week.

This update will contain Ultimate Campaign, Chronicles of the Righteous, Fey Revisited, and Pathfinder #70. Ultimate Campaign will be a new package, available for $9.99, and Chronicles of the Righteous and Fey Revisited will be the first items in a new Campaign Setting #10 package, which will be available for $4.99, and will have 1-3 more campaign setting books added to it in future releases, as Paizo publishes new books. Like the other Adventure Path issues, the player content from #70 will be free to all users.

For Ultimate Campaign, I'm sorry to say that some of the sections are behind schedule, and won't be in this week's release. In Chapter 2, the missing sections will be Managers, Rooms and Teams, and Buildings and Organizations. In Chapter 4, kingdoms will not be available initially, but armies are finished. These unfinished sections will be added over the next few weeks as free updates for everyone who owns the Ultimate Campaign package. Chapters 1 and 3 of Ultimate Campaign are finished, and will be in this week's release, along with the armies section of chapter 4.

Thank you for the information. I was going to ask a question but you already answered it. Can't wait to buy the new releases.

I am curious to see how the background building rules in chapter one is implemented. I am guessing it will just be selections after you do the mini-game on paper, but it would be great if there was a "character build" wizard that guided you through the process :)

I really like chapter 1, lol.

Just a tab full of tables, where you enter whatever you've rolled. If there's enough interest, we may add an option to press a button and have it fill in a random selection in each table, sometime down the road.

I love to see this.

Also are you going to have the new way there doing alignments implemented?

Yes, you'll be able to turn on an option that replaces the alignment chooser you're used to seeing with:

Law vs. Chaos: < Neutral (5) >
Good vs. Evil: < Neutral (5) >

Very Cool. I take it we will be seeing the rules for Honor.

If so will we be seeing the Honer Codes from the Dragon Empires Primer and the Lands of the Linnorm Kings books?

The Dragon Empires Primer version of Honor is the same (or very nearly the same - I haven't done a line-by-line analysis) as the "Samurai Code" option in Ultimate Campaign's Honor system. The Lands of the Linnorm Kings version will be available if you own both packages (you won't have the option to select any Honor code if you don't own Ultimate Campaign).

Sounds dam cool sir. Dam cool. I am soo looking forward to seeing this.

Finishing and testing Ultimate Campaign, along with Chronicles of the Righteous, which is itself one of the largest Campaign Setting books in Hero Lab has taken longer than we thought.

It looks like the release will be on Monday, June 3rd. I'm very sorry about the delays on this one.

While I'm sure everyone here is anxious for the datasets, we can wait a few more days. Take your time, Mathias, and thanks for all the work you do. :)
