Hi.
When I downloaded the newest version of the warhammer 40k data files,
I found that I could not build armies over 750 using an unregistered
version, whereas before I could build armies up to 1k. I have tried
using the tutorial data files instead of the 40k ones and they still
let me build armies up to 1000 points. Does anyone know why this is,
and is it possible to fix it?

thanks
dave

The point of the demo points limit isn't to let people make armies of up
to 1000 points for free, it's to let them try the product in a small way
before buying it. Store owners complained that a lot of people only
played 1000 point games, so they never registered it or bought a CD;
thus, the limit was lowered to 750. It's enough to try it and see if you
like it, but not enough to make 'full' armies with.

If you like AB enough to use it at all, you really should register it.
