Make a Weapon a Container and make the contents weightless?

This might be a pipe-dream but it's what I need to make the Rod of Lordly Might viable. It was always buggy the way I made it work but having this script so you could make 'Rod of Lordly Might'-type weapons would be great.

I figure it would be a good tool so that we could make these for ourselves in the future.
 
I'd rephrase it as "How do I create the Rod of Lordly Might and make the weapon forms weightless, so that I don't have excessive and erroneous weights listed; The Rod of Lordly Might is a single item but I want to see its weapons stats as separate entries on the weapon table. I want to see how to do this, in case I wish to create variant Rods of Lordly Might."
