Hey, and when will the mini sets be added to the Magic data files?

You could always do it and send them the .dat file. I'm sure they
would be most appreciative of the effort.

Do you use the figures to play magic - that is to say, are they part of deck
construction?

No? Then why would you add teh figures to the Magic data files? Granted, you
could make a new data set for those that want to collect the figures, but I
don't think they belong in the Magic card data.

No, no I meant sub-sets or whatever you want to call them. Like Anthologies, Beatdown, Battle Royal, etc.

Well... that is what I get for not paying attention! :}

Those could all be added as their own "releases" with just a small number of
cards. IIRC, Anthologies was all reprints, was it not? That one would be mainly
for the serious collector - not that they are not valuable CV customers also -
rather than someone who is more of a player (who wants only to track different
cards that he owns).

Actually, all the ones I listed are reprints, but some cards (most in Anthologies ;) are missprinted to some degree, and either way require they're addition to the files.

I asked Robert and he said that he's up to his eyeballs on a project at
work right now. But he did say that he's got all the data for most of those
sets and will include everything that he's got.

He also said he received a dump of what looks like complete data for just
about everything. The only problem is that the dump he received is in a
radically different format from everything else he's been using (i.e. the
data on the Wizards website), so he's not sure how much work will be
involved to utilize that data.

Robert estimated a few weeks to finish up his current project, so with a
little luck, updated Magic files ought to be released even before V1.1
makes it out the door. :-)
