Magic weapon special abilities help

I've managed to build the Glamered Heavy Flail of Impact I have in the campaign I'm in, but have the issue of it not being recognized as a waepon I can attack with (my attack bonus does not show up underneath like it did the non-magic version). Additionally, I cannot choose the new item for my Improved Critical feat. Am I doing something wrong somewhere, or is this just how it is?
 
So this is a specific magic weapon you built in the editor? My guess is that you didn't add the "heavy flail" weapon inside the gizmo, so none of the information about what type of weapon it is (melee, ranged, whatever) or anything else is being set.

For improved crit, you would select the base heavy flail weapon as well, not any particular instance of it.
