Magic proxy printing with no art?

Is it expected that using the Proxy Printing Output Extension for Magic will *not* print any of the art? All I currently get from any of my printing (to PDF or my Canon) is essentially the box lines of each card and some text. There's also a small graphic for the mana but that's the only actual art that prints.

Thanks for any help.
 
That's correct. Proxy printing isn't intended to print art - it's just meant to print a basic view of the card with all the relevant details, and no more.
