Mage Armor

Why when I apply mage armor under the Adjust - Spell Effects to my Barbarian it does not change the AC? However this works on the other Heros in my porfolio?

Mage Armor creates an Armor Bonus - that won't stack with worn armor - you'll only get the highest value. Is your Barbarian wearing armor with an armor bonus of +4 or more?

It might depend on the type of AC it is granting. i'm not sure about the mage armour, but if it give natural armor bonus, it might not over ride a natural armor bonus the barbarian already has.

like bonues dont stack, only the larger bonus would be applied.

I have narrowed it down to Scale Male and tested on two different heros. If Scale Mail is selected then Mage Armor does not change the AC when selected. Wonder why?

Ok, What I am seeing the Pathfinder Forums is that mage armor does not stack with standard armor bonuses....since scale mail is +5 and mage armor is +4 you get the scale mail bonus. however mage armor does offer additional protection from incorporeal attacks.

Mage Armor and normal Armor are the same type of bonus.

If you wear leather armor (+2) and cast mage armor (+4) you get a +2 bump.

If you are wearing a chain shirt (+4) or anything better then you will not get any advantage of casting mage armor on yourself.
