MAC version locked up computer before I could Activate license

I installed new MAC version tonight and it locked up while loading the Pathfinder data files before I could activate my license. I had to power down MAC after about 15 minutes and rebooted it and it seems to work fine right now.

Not sure what had happened.
 
The MAC locked up. I had to hold power button in to shutdown and power back up. I'm running Mac OS X Lion version 10.7.3 on a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB 800 MNz DDR2 SDRAM.
