[Mac] [Bug] Hero Lab trouble launching after download.

I obtained a secondary licenese key for hero lab, used it to register for the beta and then downloaded the app. When I copied it to my hard drive and tried to open it for the first time I got the following error message.

Only a single instance of Hero Lab can be used at a
time prior to licensing.

with no option to enter my license key. I made sure that the Crossover Games ( i.e. Wine ) install of Hero Lab that I have been using on this computer was not running ( which currently is installed with my primary license key ) and tried again but still no luck.
