Lynx Animal Companion

My Hunter in a Kingmaker campaign would like to take a Lynx as his animal companion. In the Ironfang Invasion AP there is a Lynx ex-companion of one the foes. The encounter says to use the Cat, leopard for it's stats. This is different from the standard Cat,small Leopard AC (pounce and rake v. sprint and trip).
Is there a way to take the leopard Bestiary stat block, rename it Lynx, and use that as an animal companion instead.
 
You can do this with the editor:
Race tab, Race subtab. "New (Copy)" and select Cat, Leopard. Give it a unique ID, name it "Lynx" and save a copy.
