Hey All,
I'm impressed with your software so far, but the single platform licensing is kind of annoying as I work both on a desktop and a laptop. I suspect that this is pretty common, at least among computing professionals.

I'm assuming Realmworks is the same?

Couldn't you make it a single user floating license so that only one paltform can run at a time but I can have it on multiple platforms? I wouldnt mind requiring net connectivity to switch paltforms if its automatic.

This is no issue at all as HL comes with 2 licenses for your desktop and laptop. You can purchase for $10 bucks up to a total of 5 licenses to include things like iPads or Windows Tablets.

In addition you can transfer the License from an old computer to a new one every 120 days if you wish.

RW uses a user id and password signon and only allows a single signon to the server at any time.

You may not care about requiring internet but many people based on where they play "Bars" to Conventions will care. HL method of only checking the license server when a major change happens or the software updated is very nice.

$5.00 per additional platform is very reasonable. Especially after you get 2 up front.

Just to be clear as I could have worded that badly. I its $10 per additional license up to a max of 3 additional or 5 total for HL. :)

And all the additional books you purchase for a system like (Pathfinder) work for "each" license you own. I have HL on 3 devices for Pathfinder and each device has access to all the exact same content.
 
As shadow says,

5 licenses, 2 initially with the main purchase. Then 3 extra at $10 each.:cool:

I have all 5 licenses used up.

When I get a Mac I'll have to retire one of my Laptops.:D
