Licensing Issue

Hey, I recently installed Army Builder on my laptop (it was previously on my desktop). I registered for the free second license and got it no problem. However, when I tried activating on my laptop it said it could not be re-assigned at this time. When I go under license manager it shows as having never been assigned.

Any ideas?

Both of your licenses show as having been activated successfully on our server. One was activated on the 11th and the other on the 15th. Are you trying to use the second license on a third computer? Or did something fundamental change on your laptop that would cause AB to think you now have a different computer? Please help me to understand the details here better.

I know what it was, I upgraded my Vista OS to Windows 7 RC1. I'm guessing a change in OS would be enough to see it as a new comp. I hadn't thought of it before because W7 just transfers everything over for you, so I didn't need to reinstall armybuilder.

It's the secondary license that will need to be re-assigned.

Upgrading the OS will definitely do it. I just modified your secondary license, so you should be good to go.
 
I think I have the same problem

I just switched from Vista Ultimate to Vista Home Premium and when I reinstalled Army Builder, it was telling me that my liscense number could not be re-assigned. Thanks in advance.

Hello

I bought a copy of Army Builder 3 a long time ago (not too long after it came out) and haven't used it in the last year or so and want to reinstall it. Unfortunately I don't believe I have the registration info anymore nor can I find it in my saved emails (bought it online).

I've activated it before, so hopefully you guys have a record of it on your database.

Any help would be appreciated!

Load AB on your computer. Then go to the License menu and select the option that is similar to "Send My Licenses to Me". This will take you to our license administration server, where you can enter your email address and have the license number(s) sent to you automatically.

Send an email to technical support and they can get this sorted out for you pretty quickly. Be sure to explain what happened and provide them with your name and license number.
