I've created a few new races and set up their languages, and they all display common twice. Is common automatically added without being checked or is this just a bug?

Second, just wondering why the language tab has weapon groupings as an option in it.
 
I just unselected Common and it now only shows once. If that's common behavior it probably should be noted in the help tooltip ? thingy.
 
And I also just noticed the "No Common Language" option which would have cleared that up sooner had I noticed it.
 
Glad you found it. There are 2 versions of Common, the default one is present on all heroes, but hides itself if there is a tag present on the hero. The "No Common Language" checkbox adds that tag to the race which then forwards that to the hero.

The other Common is the one that is added by a user when selecting languages. The seperation is important for certain reasons related to the "Customize" option for NPCs and the uniqueness of the respective versions, if I remember correctly.
