Actually, I have (at present) up to Crimson and Jade in alpha testing.
As well as SoE, which you did.

First of all: It was targetted only at gold (which was the majority of the
current L5R cards being played), so there was no support for Jade.
Ed Bolme from Lone Wolf has been working with me to get the rest of the card
sets finished - Lone Wolf takes its customer support very seriously. Any fault
lies with *me*, and I am doing what I can.
You have now done the data entry for part of one set, and I would have thought
you would have a better idea for what is involved. Since you did SoE, you have
not done any other sets, so perhaps you also understand that there are other
things in life that must take up your time as well. I have to take the stuff
you did, and add many elements (card restrictions, traits, other internal
mechanics) and then start testing the cards. Sign up for cv-l5r and you can
start verifying cards sets if you want this to get done faster, otherwise you
will have to wait until other folks get a chance to work on it and it is done.
BTW: "A Perfect Cut" is in there.

Yes you did, and it is in testing right now. I had hoped to get everything up
to Crimson and Jade released this weekend (actually, more likely Monday) now
that I finally have IE and EE in the pipeline.
Sorry if it was a lot of work... perhaps you can imagine the work needed to do
IE EE, PE, JE (all 300+ card sets) plus all the other releases. They all take
as much work as you did for one set.

The *ONLY* reason that the newest release was made (as it said right in the
release notes when you first go to load the set) was to correct errors in the
data so that the files would work with CV 1.1 - so that if and when people
upgrade their old data files all work seamlessly with the new program.
And yes, oddly enough I was waiting to acknowledge the work you did on SoE
until SoE was actually released. Silly me.

You could have *asked* rather than errupting in flames. If you had asked I
would have told you that:
* When you volunteered to help, I asked you to start at SoE and work backward.
* When Ed asked what he could do, I asked him to start at Imperial Edition and
work forward, so that he would not step on what you were doing.
* Someone else volunteered to help, so I had him working on fixed cards from
the decks... but then did not hear a peep more from him. Oh well.
You had not wasted time working toward the next set. If there had been any
risk, I would have left the set to you, since I knew you were working on it.

"This is the latest release of the Legend of the Five Rings data. It contains
all cards from the Gold Era (Four Winds story arc), up to the Fall of Otosan
Uchi set."
I thought that "...all cards from the Gold Era..." was pretty clear.

Yah, like this weekend.
Considering you have acknowledged in your email how much trouble it is to do
*ONE* set, you might want to stop and count how many sets there are left to do
for L5R, and then perhaps you will have a little patience or at least sympathy
for those that are doing all that work.
Look, if anyone else wants it, I have the code and the data for someone else to
take over the L5R data. All you need to have is Excel (97 or later) and you can
have it all. I would not mind having all those hours I will otherwise spend
maintaining those files back to enjoy living my life!
