Kings of War V2

Is anyone working on a data file for King of War V2? I know that it is Experiencing explosive growth right now due to GW killing Warhammer Fantasy. I for one am moving to KOW. There are data files for Version 1, but nothing for Version 2 yet.

Any ETA?

I know that since Warhammer fantasy is no more I won't need army builder anymore unless there are King of War files...so, anyone?

Actually, with Mantic's very open attitude (diametrically opposed to the rules makers they're replacing), it wouldn't surprise me if they would be open to active collaboration with Lone Wolf on this (as opposed to the usual "just a community member" approach todata files). Would it be worthwhile for Lone Wolf to talk to Mantic directly and see? Having good Army Builder support would dovetail nicely with Mantic's current plans for World Domination, and make it easy for the community they're targeting to make the transition to KoW2.

looking at project requirements

I'm Ed, I have done work on the WHFB 8th dataset, I'm looking at what it would take to create.

Sample of KoW2 Dataset

Well I have been chewing along and here is a sample of the Kingdom of Man output. I still have allot of background things to tweak, but the data files will have a similar look to WF8. So expect to hear more about this over the next few weeks. Tentative release initial mid-month.

Mantic games set in the future of the KoW world. Deadzone is Squad based (6-10 models) skirmish game. Firefight takes those same models and uses them, with vehicle support, at a scale similar to Warhammer 40K. Warpath again takes those same 28mm models and gives you rules to play with entire armies (150-300 or more models per side) and play it out in just a few hours.

Warpath - The Sci-fi Battle Game is a live KS right now and lets you pick up a 40-50 model army for $75.00. An alpha of the rule set is free at the Mantic website
