Kangaroo not in race tab

I do not know if this is an error or just an obmision but you cannot select Kangaroos in the race tab. you can select them as an animal companion.
One of the guys in my gaming group wanted to play an awakened Kangaroo Ninja of all things so I tried to create it but was unable too.
 
I didn't see it in the races, but I was able to import "Marsupial, Kangaroo" from the Encounter Builder. I was then able to change it to a PC and give it Ninja levels.
