SR 5th ed. Issues with Improved Ability

I am building an adept character and when I select Improved Ability it will not allow me to select any Social skills for improvement... all other skills, including some I have in groups are selectable.

Any ideas?
 
Improved ability is only allowed for skills from certain categories: Combat, Physical, Social, Technical, or Vehicle
 
That's a bug that you should probably report via the Bug-Reporting Form, bmacvicar.

And I agree, unlike the Enhanced Accuracy power that I thought was a bug but turned out to be me misreading the power in the rulebook (HeroLab got it right), Improved Ability definitely should permit the improvement of social skills.
 
Already reported... working around it for now by spending more skill points in social skills and using Improve Ability to raise the other ones.
