you can add the files in itunes with ibooks installed and then sync, or you can use a program like airsharing to copy them over via a wireless network.
 
I use dropbox on my computer and save my rosters to my dropbox folder. Then just use to dropbox app that you can download for free to open PDF rosters or mobile rosters that you create on your PC up on the iPad. It's pretty frackin' killer actually. Just waiting for the iPad native version now and I won't have to remote to my PC to make rosters on the fly.... :)
