Inventory on the Deck screen (Yu Gi Oh)

I am curious as to why i sometimes see Inventory - Acquire: X where X is a random number (it seems) in the card description while creating a deck?

If I go to the Inventory tool, all my Acquire is set to 1 (or <1 if I already have it).

While I am here, sometimes it does open a new tab in FireFox. I will have to find the menu option that uses IE. But, when I go to Help->Visit Web Site, it opens a new tab in Firefox but also pops up a dialog box saying i need a properly installed web-browser.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Michael Cox

I don't think this question has been answered, sorry if it has...

CV combines all the inventory entries for each card. So for example, let's
say you have 2 of card "Big Gun" from set X and 2 from set Y. Card Vault
would display your total 'owned' quantity as 4. Does that explain the
values you're seeing?

Hope this helps,

It had not been.

I think so. Let's take "Ancient One of the Deep Forest." It is in Metal
Ruler (MRL-018). There are 1st Edition and Unlimited Metal Ruler entries
for this card in the Inventory. On the Available cards it says Inventory -
Owned: 0 / 4 - Excess: 3 - Acquire: 1. Now, when I look at my inventory,
I have 0 of the Unlimited and 4 of the 1st Edition for that card. Excess is
3 and Acquire is 1. If there was another edition of this card (say 3rd
edition), would it say 0 / 4 / 0? And, is the order of those numbers
determined by the order on the inventory screen?

Since Merge Duplicate Cards is checked, and my assumptions above are
correct, shouldn't it just show Owned: 4 ?

While I am here, is it possible to copy the text when I am looking at card
details?

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Michael Cox

Owned: 0 / 4 means that you own a total of 4 (the 'merged' total), and 0 of
those are exactly the card you're looking at (the newest release, if you
have duplicates merged and no filter set). For yu-gi-oh, I believe the '1st
edition' and 'normal' cards are listed as separate releases, with the 1st
edition being sligtly 'older' than the normal one. So you own 0 of the card
that's currently showing, but 4 equivalents (the 1st edition ones). If you
filtered to show only 1st edition Metal Ruler, it should show up as 4/4 (if
you have 4 1st edition metal ruler versions of that card).

Right-click the text, select copy to clipboard. This works in lots of
places. :)

Hope this helps,

Yes, they are separate and I have entered my inventory correctly.

I meant Magic Ruler, btw. Ok, I filtered only Magic Ruler 1st. It now
shows:
Inventory - Owned: 4 / 4 - Excess: 3 - Acquire: 1 but I still think it
looks kinda weird since Merge Duplicate is turned on.

Ok, that copies ALL the text and there is no way to highlight the text to
copy just a section (which you have to do in lots of places in order for the
Copy menu item to be enabled).

Thanks.

It should only show if Merge Duplicates is on. otherwise, there's no need
to show the 'total' quantity, as you're seeing the total quantity for that
specific card. If merge duplicates is disabled, no cards are 'merged' and
so there's no need to show the merged total. (It's possible for there be
two or more cards in the same edition that 'merge' into one.)

That's right. You can either disable all the info fields in the view (so it
shows just the description and flavor text), or just paste it into notepad
or a word processor and cut out the bits you don't like.

Hope this helps,
