I was wondering if it would be possible to use my single license at a
media level..

For example, I have a USB flash drive that I can tote around with me very
easily. It would be nice if I could just take that wherever I go (since I
almost always play at people's houses) and just borrow their computer
briefly and fire up my ab3 program that way rather than lugging around my
entire laptop (which is currently where my license resides so that I can
have a mobile installation that way)?

The licensing mechanism relies on information about the computer itself to
uniquely identify a system. It is not able to utilize a flash drive for
that purpose, and using that approach would be a total departure from the
current method. Consequently, it's someething that would require a
completely different solution and entail a fair chunk of work. It's an
intriguing idea, but it's not one that we'll be able to seriously
investigate as an option for quite awhile.
