Install without internet?

Due to a cut cable I have no internet in my house, but I am off today and tomorrow and I want to try out Hero Labs.

Can I down load it to another computer, store the file on thumb drive and then install it? Is the file too big? Or will it try to install itself on the computer I download it too?

Please see the section on Manual license activation within the User Manual and under the License menu within Hero Lab. You *can* activate a license on a computer without direct internet access.

Yes you can easily. Just don't install the application on the thumb drive as that can cause issues. One my players actually installed it on a thumb drive then activated the license on the library computer and when he got home to use it was surprised it would not work.

Just so you know the computer you activate the license on is the only computer the software will then run on.

The file is only like 25megs or so. Very small by today standards. It will only start to install if you double click on the file after you have downloaded it.

So if I head over to the Starbucks and download the software to my thumbdrive I should be able to install it to a desktop and set up the license without any issues.
