I have noticed that the Noble Scion of Magic does not quite work correctly. It requires that you take one of the languages listed. It seems that this is to be done on the Background tab. If you add one of those languages, it becomes "happy" on the Feats tab. but it was not a free language. So it seems that it does not add a language to the total, but it should do so.

Ah ok, Done. I had not thought of it as a "bug" as much as an "oops, missed a step", but I suppose that works :)

The feat gives you a free language which you pick on the "Personal" tab. After taking the feat you should notice the "Personal" tab becomes "Red" letting you know you need to choose a language.

So try picking the language from the "Personal" tab instead of the "Background" tab where you pick languages from Intelligence.

Thanks, that was not apparent to me. I wonder why it would go there instead of the Background tab, where the other languages are. Still, if one of those languages is added on the Background tab, the feat is satisfied (even though it is not free and does not satisfy the Personal tab).

Maybe a note to look on the Personal tab could be added to the description on a future update to make it more obvious where to look (beyond searching here).

I believe the Background tab is for character creation purposes, the languages the character knows at the "start of the game", while the personal tab is for languages acquired otherwise.

Actually, anytime you take Linguistics, traits, or feats, the languages are added on the Personal tab. The only ones that get added through the Background tab are the starting languages for the race, and I think rarely other things will, but I can't remember what they are.

Thanks guys, it is making more sense. The Ultimate Campaign adds a History tab as well. It will take making a few characters with the software to get used to it.
