Importing Monsters from .user files

I had a look around for the answer to this question, but couldn't see it.

I'm in the process of creating a list of NPCs and monsters for my Legacy of Fire game coming up.

The way I've normally populated the Tactical Console is go to Import Stock Hero or Import Hero from Portfolio

But I've just noticed that I'm not able to import the monsters that are sitting in my Monsters.user file.

Is there a procedure for this? What am I missing?
Cos at some point the custom data set creators have had to do this, but I can't figure it out

Thanks for putting up with another n00b question!

Monsters get imported from portfolios, not from data files. You actually have to create the characters first, and then save them in a portfolio before being able to import them. Hope that helps.

PS Dropping your file into my data folder caused an error:

"Thing 'rGiFunSpid' - Bootstrap thing 'raSpFunWeb' does not exist"

Ah, ok, that makes sense.
Kind of double-working it, but isn't a huge problem in terms of time spent!

I think that error cropped up due to the monster that I copied this from. Maybe you don't have the Community Bestiary installed?

I don't. Just wanted you to know about it in case you were expecting it to be a standalone file. I haven't really been doing much with Pathfinder so I don't have all the packages and community stuff installed.
