Import Overwrite Question

I'm very shaky on the import feature. I have a realm ruleset for the game I'm running at the moment: ACKs. I'm trying to "do it right" with proper links and all, but it's taking a while (and monsters are a chore). So here's my question:

If I were to import what I have done into my campaign realm, can I continue work on the ruleset and repeatedly import my growing ruleset realm -- overwriting what was there before -- into my in-progress campaign realm?

Assuming that you do all of the updating in the original realm and import the updated material into your main realm periodically using the correct settings, which should be obvious in the imports options, that should work.

I have done such several times in my own realms without problem.
