Import Hero from statblock data??

thrilled

Member
Greetings!

Sorry if this has been answered sometime before but I couldn't find it with a regular search query.

Is is possible to create/import a character into HeroLabs from statblock data??

This would really help me in the cases where the adventures have non standard creatures (which takes quite a bit to configure in herolabs), thus being able to import them to Herolabs and then export them to D20Pro would be greatly helpful.

Sincerely!

I agree, the time it would take to get just one stat block working would not be worth it, and that not all stat blocks are the same, and that it would have to understand all the released books you want supported, its never going to happen.

From a developer perspective is your trying to create metadata rich data (hero lab data) from metadata poor data (statblock).

A good example is to recreate a song based on the words alone, no tempo and no score...

it would be best guess at most, and while more likely to get the character into hero lab, it would still require lots of work to get it entered correctly. Unless you were mass loading, I would find it easier to just click through it myself, at least then I know it was created correctly.
