Thanks for the response to my previous post. However, what I am
trying to find is information on any "update" style formats. For
example: if I have a new spreadsheet of card prices downloaded from
the web, provided I can tie the card name to the CV card id, is there
an XML import file format for taking the price and updating the
appropriate field. At the moment the only way to do this is to take
the core data XML files and update the fields directly outside of CV.

In the first paragraph of the CV authoring toolkit there is the
statement "If you are looking for the particulars on how to interface
other applications with Card Vault using the product's interchange
file formats, those are documented in a separate publication entitled
Card Vault Interchange Formats". It sounds like this may be what I
require but I cannot find the publication on the LW web site. Does it
exist or is it still in the works?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Kevin Dalley

AFAIK, the interchange format is for outside programs to take inventory or deck
data and massage it to do some sort of output function. I do not think you can
enter data that way. But I have not actually used it, so this may be off base.

As for your idea... you could write a program to read in the inventory data (in
XML) and the new data, and then output the inventory data substituting the new
pricing information for the old information. That would not even take all that
much processing power if they were both using the same sort scheme :)
