Imperial Guard issues

When I go to create an infantry platoon for Imperial Guard it will not allow me to add only one 10 man squad. Rather it always creates two squads plus a junior officer and guardsmen, which I don't want in my force. Is there anything I can do to change this?
 
Have you bothered to read your codex? It's doing what you don't want it to do for a reason.
 
Sorry my friend was complaining about it, he just started playing the IG again recently and said it wasn't behaving according to the codex. I guess he's wrong. So I guess you always have to have platoons in 2 two's with a an officer an guardsmen. Thanks for the friendly answer Ghaz.
