Images for Bestiary 1,2 and 3 ??

I just purchased the Bestiary 1,2 and 3 and when I load a creature I don't see any picture for that creature. I just purchased Hero Lab so maybe I'm missing something. I surely didn't spend 30 dollars and not even get pictures for all the creatures in the 3 Bestiary add-ons ? If someone can help me out I would appreciate it.

Thanks for your response. Pretty lame that they do not include any pictures of the mobs. I would tell anyone to not waste your money and just input the mobs yourself since you have to do additional work anyways. It's not like you need every creature in all the Bestiary books at one time. I just purchased this for use with a VTT gaming session where you do need images.

I found some PDF copies of the Bestiaries and I'm just adding in the pictures for the mobs I'm using so I guess it worked out somewhat.

Why of course your free to input monsters using the Editor its not "super" fast or always super simple. So the ability to easily grab a monster and changes its feats, spell selection, skill selection, add hit dice or class levels is AWESOME!

If I want pictures I can get them from the PDF if you want the ability to quickly advance a monster for a game in 5 minutes nothing beats having the data packages. The time it saves is just worth every cent.

You want great images you get the PDF's/Books from paizo. You want great running software to speed your games up you buy from Lone Wolf. :)

While this is all true you can find all of the Mobs converted to D20Pro with images. Converted from Hero Lab for Pathfinder. I have all the mobs from Bestiary books 1,2 and 3. I have 900 Mobs in my D20Pro library that cost me 0.0 dollars so if you are using a VTT then don't waste your money on the Bestiary 1 2 or 3 because you can get all the mobs for D20 pro for free. Just use google. I still like having Hero Lab and I would say that it's worth buying but you shouldn't waste your money on the Bestiaries.

Sorry that you feel this way. HL is worth every penny, even without the pics. The bestiaries give you access to a lot of things aside from just the stat-block of the monster.

However if you have a library of images how difficult is it to create a portfolio with the bestiary monster including that image? Other than time consuming? Other than duplicating already available information, albeit without images?

Maybe your not understanding me. I play using d20pro so I like to have the images included. After purchasing the Bestiary 1 2 and 3 I found all the mobs from Bestiary 1 2 and 3 for FREE converted from Hero Lab for D20Pro. So I wasted 30 dollars buying the addon for Hero Lab. I have now converted 900 mobs into Hero Lab from D20Pro for Free. With images. So in conclusion Don't waste your money on the Bestiares for Hero Lab when you can get them for free with images. I'm not sure how that's hard to understand ??

Hero Lab is Awesome and I I'm glad I have it but you don't need to waste money on the Bestiaries if you know how to use google.

You are aware that all of the bestiary information except the images are freely available on the PRD, and that anyone using the images without Paizo's permission is actually breaking copyright?

LWD charge a fee for their data files to cover their development costs for implementing game mechanics and inputting the raw monster data into Hero Lab (to save you, the end-user, the hassle of doing all that work yourself).

If someone has gone to the trouble to convert the bestiary information from Hero Lab into d20Pro, they will have paid for the bestiaries, and then done the work. I'm unsure of the licensing implications, there, but I suspect that it's not allowed. Alternatively, they could have used the PRD and put the bestiary information straight into d20Pro, which is in itself completely legitimate. (I also imagine that it's impossible to tell those two methods apart, so I doubt anything could come of it.)

However, that does not absolve them of the copyright violation involved in scanning the bestiary images and using them without license from Paizo. Nor does it absolve you from using such non-licensed material.

So, while you're welcome to break the law yourself (and on your own head be the consequences), might I suggest that you refrain from urging others to do the same? Especially here, where people who don't mind paying a small premium for someone else to do the hard (and legal) work for them.
