I will send a bug report but I am not sure how to get you a copy of the realm.

FYI, the random gibberish is intentional. The code has been obfuscated to make it harder to hack, and that's what you're seeing.

The bug itself is something we'll need to investigate. Having your database would be extremely helpful towards that end, since we'll need to identify what's different between your local database and what's on the server. Lacking your local database will make that process significantly harder.

The way that most users have given us their database is to upload the database file to Dropbox or another such service. Then send us a link where we can download it.

What would be the file needed and its location?

Yeah, they should probably post that out here instead of in (one of) the Beta forum(s). :)

ObQuestion: Your current database is in a hidden folder in your user folder. This command should open the right place:

explorer "%appdata%\LWD Technology, Inc\Realm Works\"

The file they'll want is "master.realm". Make sure you close Realm Works before you mess with it.

Extra Hint: Alt-PrintScreen takes a picture of just the current window.

Doh! I'll let Liz know about the need to make that sticky thread available on the main forums. Sorry about that!!

OK I sent Dave an email yesterday, but he appears to be busy....which is a good thing. The file is too large to email, even compressed. I have downloaded dropbox. How do I get the file from me to you? I apologize in advance for the newb question.

Go to your drop box folder, put the file in it, then right click on it and select "Share Dropbox Link".

Then paste that link into an email to him.

I use google drive and the concept is similar with all the cloud services.

1) upload to cloud
2) get a link for the uploaded file and perhaps change permissions to share with anyone that has the link
3) copy/paste that link into an email with the case number so LW can match it up

@MaxSupernova: Your kung-fu is very strong....

The last update cleared the long error message, but now I am getting the -500 error. Is there a known fix for this error?

And I'll ride on jkthomsen9's coattails again. My odd error cleared up with the patch (THANK YOU) and after editing, I'm receiving a -500 error too. Bug submitted.

I don't know if it makes any difference but almost all of my editing was rearranging chairs on the Titanic.... And there are a LOT of deck chairs to deal with.... I did a considerable amount of revamping content, adjusting containers, adding multiple Source Region tags to a large number of entries, and I implemented a standardized stat block that I'm rolling through all of my content now. Of note, I also deleted a section in my rules section so I'm resolving dead links in every NPC's entry.

I was doing similar changes to my realm. Moving content from one container to another and streamlining the flow of my campaign in the Crown of the World main topic.

For this latest issue, I'm looking into it. I believe I understand what is happening... Now just have to figure out the best way to fix it.
