How to setup a VMC (Variant Multiclass) character in HL

I'm a HL noob of sorts; and, would appreciate some guidance in setting up a VMC character in HL. Spoon feed me please :/

The VMC feature isn't turned on by default. You'll need to open the Configure Hero menu (Character->Configure Hero, or just press CTL-K), scroll down to the "Pathfinder Unchained" section, and check "Variant Multiclassing" under the sub-section labeled "Chapter 2: Skills and Options". Any other features from Unchained that you want to activate can be turned on here as well.

Once VMC is turned on, the Classes tab will have a new area called "Secondary Class" where you can select a VMC class.

While it should be obvious, It might also be added that you have to purchase the Pathfinder UnChained module for Herolab as well.
