How to set experience for fast track

ogre

Member
As it says,

I am waiting for them to fix my new install of HeroLab so I can use Pathfinder.

while playing with the demo I see that I cannot fix the experience track. How do I change this to fast instead of the default?

Thanks,

chris

Go to 'character' on the top menu, 'configure hero', and in the Hero Settings field on the right you can select advancement speed.

There are a fair number of options on the configure hero screen in addition to the XP rate. Once you have things the way you like them, you can set them to the default and all new characters will be that way.

If you have old saved characters you can load up that character. Then pull up the Configure Hero screen from a menu on the title bar. Then select "Use Defaults" ... or just pick what you want for this character.

Thanks all, it is appreciated.

As a DM I like to throw things upside down once in awhile and have the players adventure as a band of monsters in one of their well known pc areas.

In other words I like to have them roll up Goblins, Orcs, Gnolls, Kobolds or even Ogres.

I was playing with it last night and I cannot set up a goblin. Goblindog comes up, but no goblin template.

I have every Pathfinder upgrade and update installed. More than likely it is operator error and I have just not found the right area. Yet I found a fairly complete list of the beastiary, yet no goblins? Wierd.

Maybe the Bestiary changes something? Not sure as I don't have that dataset, but for myself if I uncheck No Extra Races under the Races to Show section then when selecting Race in the Background tab I can find Goblin in the -Non-standard Races- section.

Hope that helps.

Have you got the Rise of the Runelords AP selected in Sources? (via the Configure Hero options).

The Goblin dog is defined in the Bestiary data, but the Goblin, for some reason, is defined in the RotRL AP data.

I have the Bestiary data set and when I uncheck the No Extra Races it showed up under classes for new hero. Note it is not a template but and actual race on the second tab.

Thanks,

Will look for it again. Figured it was operator error. I will just have to sit down and slowly read thru the manual. Will probably print the manual, so old goat me can highlight things and have them where I can read them when needed.
