How to make an awakened animal?

One of my players want to play an "awakened" baboon (i.e. a baboon who has been enchanted with the Awakened spell). Is there a (easy) way to do this in Hero Lab?

Thanks

There are two ways to do this. One is to create a template. This might be tricky though due to the fact that the Intelligence and Charisma changes aren't static. An alternate to this would be a spell adjustment, but that has a similar issue.

The other option would be to use the Other Adjustments tab. There you can change the Intelligence with Ability Score (Starting) after the player rolls to determine the animal's new Intelligence. For Charisma, you could use Ability Score (Permanent) to increase his current score by whatever the player rolls for that. For the additional HD, simply add them in the Classes tab as you normally would. The only thing I'm not sure about is the type, but I'm not sure its really necessary to change that within Hero Lab since it doesn't affect HD or anything else.

I'm assuming the Baboon is available in the Beastiary 2 package (I haven't gotten that yet). If its not for some reason, you'd have to make that in the editor.

Perfect, that's just what I needed, thanks!

And the Baboon is in B2... and hopefully in the Hero Lab package, too (I haven't bought it yet).

Beastiary 2 is an extra, it costs a bit more after buying the program. If you only need the one race it may be worth it to pick up the editor and try to build it yourself. Races are easy.
