How to create a DataSet?

Hello people I have a question that I hope you can help me with...

I wanna create a dataset with is own name and that can be transferable to another hero lab's user like on a .hl file, may you teach me how to do this?

This all depends on what type and the complication factor of the dataset. What are you looking to make in the data set?

To get some examples there are some demo videos on youtube, just follow the link in my tag line.

If you already have the .user files and just want to create a import file (.hl) its not that bad really. I do want do a video tutorial on it but have not gotten around to it.

For now you can get started doing "Tools->HLExport...". This opens up a new window and I want to say the help gives you help. If not there is help in the actual HL Manual on using this feature.

Mostly its just selecting what you want in the .hl and then giving it a name and pressing the "create" button.

There are some hidden features of the tool that I would love to share but just don't have the time right now. The above should point you in the right general direction.
 
the thing is that I saw one of lawful_g works on 3.5 d20 system of DragonLance and I want to do kind of the same thing but for Forggoten Realms and for the pathfinder system
 
I too am working on a Forgotten Realms datafile right now in my spare time. I know how you feel. I am converting 4th edition materials into pathfinder because my players liked the story advancement but prefer Pathfinder rules to 4th edition. So far it was not that hard to convert the spellscarred feature over.

I am adding races from Races of Faerun to the files and also trying to get a monsterous compendium done too.

The above should point you in the general direction for doing this. The Export tool can also now create the XML file you need if you wanted to host the file on a website and use the Powered by HL feature.
