How does DND Beyond affect HL licensing efforts

It seems that WOTC has picked their horse for digital content. All of the details aside I'm curious what this means for LW's efforts to get a license for 5e character management.

Does anyone have any news on this? Is the door closed?
 
The last conversation we had with Wizards seemed promising. But, as Colen said, there is really nothing concrete that can be shared at this time.
