How do you make a prestige class?

Is there a list of terms for what power goes where? Or do i need the authoring kit even though i have no intention of creating a game? I have some prestige classed i need in my pathfinder rules game in a homebrew setting.

Can anyone help me? I could really use them because a lot of characters belong to them and it's getting to me with printer ink keeping them up to date.
 
You shouldn't need to use the authoring kit, prestige classes can be added on the Class tab of the editor.

I'm afraid I don't understand your question "Is there a list of terms for what power goes where?" Could you elaborate and clarify?

Folks on the boards are often happy to give advice if you hit snags when creating something. Classes are one of the more ambitious things to start off with though, since there are a lot of fiddly bits.

OK, i'm looking to convert some prestige classes from the Forgotten Realms 3.0 books. Peerless Archer from the Silver Marches book, for starters. I'd like to convert Legendary Leader from Heroes of Battle, as well. I have literally no idea how to do it. Is there a guide?
 
I recommend checking out the Glossary of Terms to get a handle on the verbiage used in the editor. Check out FAQ#2 for info on the editor including a four part video introduction. Worth watching the first several as it gets a person into the editor and making .user files.

Also worth checking on the Community Created FR data package as it may already contain the PrC your looking for.
