How do i load Pathfinder Beginner Box Portfolio to iPad

I have a licensed copy of Hero Lab on my Mac, with a license for Pathfinder, and Pathfinder Beginner.

I saved the a Test Portfolio with a newly created character and a prerolled one to dropbox, and linked dropbox to my ipad.

I can see the portfolio but when i launch it, I get a "file was created with a different game system" error.

I confirmed i launched the Pathfinder game system on the ipad, so why can't I open the Beginner Portfolio from the ipad?
 
The "Beginner Box" doesn't run on iPad - only the full Pathfinder package. (They are separate game systems, even if one is a simpler version of the other - and Heroes created in one can';t be transferred to the other.)
