How do I add animal companion to a new class?

I am developing an new class that will mix aspects of a ranger and a rogue. I want an animal companion for the class. How do I add animal companion to a new class? I have tried several ways but continue to get errors. I am working in the Hero Lab Editor. Thanks for any help. :confused:
 
This is the error message:

Don't bootstrap the class special for the animal domain. Bootstrap cAnimClass directly (any adjustment to level should be set in the CompClAdj of that special while bootstrapping it), and have the class set its cAnimStart field to whatever level it gains the companion.
