House rules and resolution issues

I'm considering buying HL for my Pathfinder games, but have a couple questions.

Most importantly house rules, my group uses a lot. The one that concerns me the most deals with Skill Points. All classes that gain 2 points gain 4 instead. How hard is it to change core mechanics like that? We also use the Racial hp bonuses from Beta.

Secondly, I installed the demo to my netbook and was informed that HL requires 800x600, but my machine is set at a fixed 1024x576. Are there any plans for netbook compatibility? That's not a dea breaker, but it would be nice to be able to use this when I'm on the road. Which is often.

Class skill points: Permanent option: in the editor, make a copy of each affected class, and then use the "replaces thing id" field to set that copy as a replacement for the existing class. Then go to the skill points per level field and change 2 to 4.

Class skill points: In-play option: go to the adjust tab, and select "skill points per level". Select the class to modify, then set the value to 2.

Racial HP: permanent option: make a replacement for each affected race. Create a script for each race, with the following line of code (changing the 4 to whatever bonus that race gets):
herofield[tHP].value += 4

Racial HP: simpler option: Go to the adjust tab, select the HP adjustment, set the value to whatever the character's race gets.

HeroLab looks very compressed running on an 800 x 600 screen, so I doubt it will be squeezed smaller. Unfortunately, keeping 800 x 600 available as an option was an attempt to cover netbooks and older computers.

Ok, thanks. I'll play around with the customizing when I have time. Too bad about the resolution, but I can live with it. (New I should have bought a full sized laptop. :-/)
