Homebrew Combat Expertise

I'd like to use a homebrew replacement for Combat Expertise. I've got the feat coded up and apparently working fine. But there are two difficulties:

1) A ton of stuff requires Combat Expertise as a pre-req. My homebrew variant doesn't satisfy those validation rules.

2) I only want to use this when I'm GM'ing. Other people's games obviously won't use my own house rules.

About the only approach I can think of is to manually copy and modify every feat that depends on Combat Expertise. But then I'd be stuck maintaining a whole parallel feat tree.

So ... is there any simple way to declare that my homebrew variant works in place of the usual Combat Expertise?

In building your own feat for Combat Expertise did you click on "Counts as Feat..." and click on the option for Combat Expertise?

Sweet! I totally missed even seeing that option. Works perfectly, and makes my life a lot simpler.

Thanks!
