HL for iPad wont install "newer version of software needed"

Oh No!!!!! Been waiting so long and now Herolab for iPad wont install.

iTunes throws an error reading "The app "Hero Lab Play" was not installed on the iPad ... because it requires a newer version of the iPad software".

I have a 1st gen iPad running iOS 5.1.1 (the latest iOS for this device). This is the first time I have ever seen such an error for any app.

Help pleaseeeeee.......

I think you need the IOS 6 or better to run it. Have you tried to updte the software on the device?

This has been answered in other places, but first gen iPads only go to 5.1, and don't have enough memory for the hero lab app. In the future they're going to look in possibly supporting iOS 5, but for now it's iOS 6.1 required, and no first gen iPads.

As mirtos says, the memory limitations of the iPad 1 are currently the issue.

Only need the character sheet. Happy to do all creation back on main computer. Hope you can work it out down the track.
