I just updated to the new version of HL (3.9b) and I recieved a message that I have to wait to reactivate my License. I sent in the request and have the email telling me that it will be 2-3 business days.
I am not sure why I was pushed for updating to the new version and stuck in demo mode. I am posting to just FYI anyone else since it is the weekend now to be carefull.
 
Hmm, I just updated mine without any problem. Maybe the server is just backed up. Did you have an internet connection when you updated?
 
The usual reason for that sort of problem is that you have HL installed on more than one computer and you've used the same license number for more than one copy (to see which license number is on each copy, choose the help menu...About Hero Lab).

Each computer you use Hero Lab on needs a different license number. A second number is free, and can be obtained through the License menu...Obtain Secondary License. A third and fourth license are also available. Those are $10 each, and are also purchased through the Obtain Secondary License option.
 
Mathias, is there a laundry list of bugs that got fixed? I have several workarounds that if I don't have to do them, I can get them cleaned up.
 
It's actually readme.pdf now - readme.txt is the old version that I forgot to stop including in the installer. >_<
