Hireling to Hero conversion

Is there a simple way to convert a hireling to a Hero? I have some complex hirelings that need to be converted to Heroes and I am not seeing an easy way to do it.
 
If you mean characters added through the hireling option on the Other tab, there's not a way to dis-associate them from their parent.

If you mean you set them as NPCs on the Configure Hero form, and now want them to be PCs, you can re-open the Configure Hero form through the Character menu.
 
Unfortunately, the 'added as hireling' option. Character died, player is taking over the long time hireling and I was hoping to avoid building him up from scratch.

Might be a nice idea for a future feature?
 
I'd recommend opening a second copy of HL - open the hireling in one, the new portfolio in the other. You should be able to flip windows back and forth, copying all the entries. Hopefully that'll make the process pretty fast.
 
OK! That is actually helpful, as I didn't realize you could run multiple copies. Thanks! Very helpful indeed! This forum rocks, especially the Mathias part!
