Hiding a thing you can't choose

I'm looking at Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes and the background snippets.

So I've got my (for instance) halfling personality traits set up. They have pick requirements of rHalfling. So if you're not a hafling they're grayed out.

This is cool, but I was wondering if I could hide it completely if you're not a halfling; as I will have options for each race represented.

I tried to think of a good way to do this and the easiest/cleanest way I can think of is to create a new set of sources for each race. If your character doesn't have the "halfling" source selected in the Configure Hero options then they can't see "halfling" only background choices.

Otherwise you have to add scripts that add/remove the Background.XXX tags on the traits, etc. of your racials based on the race tag on your hero, which may or may not exist yet because they haven't selected the race yet. It wouldn't be worth the time though, what's to stop a human raised by halflings from taking some of the halfling personality options and vice versa.
