HeroLab journal redesign/customization?

This question pertains mostly to Pathfinder Society play, but may pertain to other HeroLab modules. The text below is from an email I sent to support@wolflair which then suggested I post on the forums to let "... other users voice their opinions on it, and lets [Lone Wolf Development] know how much demand there is for a feature."

Is there any plan to implement the inventory trackers required for society play? I've just been using the text editor in the journals.

Speaking of journals, is there any chance that journals could take a "header and lines" design in future versions? For example, the header could contain info about the module number, module name, and date; and then one or more lines could be added.

An example of a multi-line journal could be as follows:
- Line type {XP, inventory, condition, etc.}
- Amount: {1xp, 3xp, 10 items purchased/sold/used, condition gained/lost)
- XP mode {1/2 progression, full progression}

If this is up to us users to develop, do you have any videos or guides that you would recommend as a starting point for this level of development?

To add to this, has anyone already began customizing this or adding functionality to the journal system?

Yeah, it needs a good rewrite, Given how hard it is to work with I have to pull data from the xml file. It would be nice if the two journals could be combined. I.T.S. would need to overhaul the whole purchasing system for it to work right, and probably isnt worth it. I would love to see the two separate journals combined, and to have the title length increased (I use the formal "PZOPSS0001E - Pathfinder Society Scenario 01 - Silent Tide" notation for all of my logs to ensure clarity and end up having to truncate a few of them.

PS Modules end up requiring three different "entries" to get the needed XP... less than optimal

I haven't done any PFS in a few years, except my current GM is running RotRL as a PFS module so the other players get a feel for what it's like to play PFS (how XP works, Fame and Prestige points, limits on purchasing magic gear, etc).

Currently, I use ShadowChemosh's pack so that I can add comments to each piece of gear. I set the SOURCE field to the module where the item appeared on the Chronicle sheet, and I set the DESCRIPTION field (or whatever the second field is called) to how I "paid for" the item (Fame points, gp, whatever) and the real date. (Don't really need the real date, but I thought it might help me find the journal entry, so I've been putting it in.)

Regarding the journal, I have a plan to modify the AncientOne's HTML char sheet so that a portfolio file in the same directory as the sheet would be read in and the XML processed directly. This means if you want to put formatted entries in the journal and document how you plan to do that, I'd be happy to add some JavaScript code that extracts the data and puts it on the char sheet somewhere (probably in a new panel?). I hope to have some time this week to work on that, but if I don't, it'll be at least three weeks before I'll have a chance.
